Welcome
to the first step
The
decision to seek therapy usually means you’ve already spent plenty of energy
trying on your own to get a handle on your life. In fact, you may be downright exhausted from the effort.
Maybe
you know there should be more to life, but don’t know how to find it. Maybe your social anxiety is so acute
you feel like you are missing out on your own life. Or maybe you are struggling with anger, sadness or guilt
that you feel but don’t understand.
Whatever
reasons bring you here, welcome. You are in the right place, you are on the
right path and the fact that you find yourself here is evidence of your desire
to change and your readiness for this work.
I think
about my work as the process of helping people to become who they already know they
are. We all have an image
of our best self. This is the
person we’d be if we just weren’t so tired, so anxious, so angry or so depressed. Our work together is to find out why
you feel those things in the first place so you can move past them and start
feeling happier, more productive and more connected to the life you want.
The Details
My practice focuses on treating adults
and I see individuals with wide ranging experiences and backgrounds. If
you have questions about how I can help you, I encourage you to call and ask me
directly. I set fees with clients individually and while I do have a
standard hourly rate, I have a sliding fee scale for individuals with limited
incomes. Payment is due at the
beginning of each session. My office is located in Madison Valley and
free on-street parking is conveniently located nearby.
Finding a therapist that feels like the
right fit can be difficult. To see if we might successfully work
together, I encourage you to contact me for a free 20-minute consultation.
I use these brief sessions to open the door to see if it feels to you
like we can work together on some of the things that are keeping you from the life you
want.
I look forward to hearing from you.
